Lemon Butter Sauce Spaghetti Recipe

This recipe for is one of my favorite recipes; with a minimum effort and 15 minutes of preparation, you will get a super delicious recipe that will take you in its aroma and taste to the beautiful beaches of southern Italy. I upgraded the dish with homemade crispy bread crumbs.
Just try this recipe, and see how easy and tasty it is.

Ingredients for two people:

  • 300 grams of spaghetti (spaghetti for two people)
  • One large lemon
  • Thyme leaves
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Pinch of sugar
  • Salt
  • pepper

For the bread crumbs:

  • 200 grams of bread (any bread you like)
  • Fresh thyme
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil

Preparation:

Place a pot with salted water on the stove and bring the water to a boil. At this time, prepare the bread crumbs:
Put the bread in a food processor, a few thyme leaves (do not exaggerate, the thyme has a strong taste), a clove of garlic, salt, pepper, and drizzle in some olive oil and turn on the Processor until a uniform mixture of bread crumbs is obtained.
* The bread should absorb the oil into it; if the mixture is dry, add a little more olive oil, but the mixture mustn’t be greasy.

Heat a frying pan, add the bread crumbs mixture, and stir until golden and crispy bread crumbs. Set the mixture aside.

After the salted water is boiled, cook the spaghetti for 12 minutes (or 2~3 min for fresh pasta).

Meanwhile, prepare the lemon butter sauce:
Heat a pan with butter, add the two garlic cloves, and cook for about 2 minutes. Remove the garlic, squeeze in the lemon juice, and cook for about 2 minutes on low heat until the lemon is reduced by half.

Add a glass of water from the spaghetti pot to the pan—season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
This is it, the sauce ready.

After the spaghetti is done, transfer it to the pan with the lemon butter sauce and mix them together.

Plating time:

Put bread crumbs on a plate and place the spaghetti on top, add more bread crumbs on top of the spaghetti and finally sprinkle thyme leaves on top. And that’s it; you have a winning dish in 15 minutes.
