Tuna Tataki - Seared Red Tuna With An Asian Touch

Tuna Tataki - Recipe for two-person
Tuna Tataki - Ingredients:
- 2 fresh red Tuna steaks 2.5 – 3 cm thick (1 inch)
- A pinch of whole cumin (can also be ground)
- A pinch of black mustard seeds
- Salt
- black pepper
- Sesame seeds
- Lemon for squeezing
- Sesame oil
Preparation:
To make a ground mixture, use a mortar and pestle to grind the cumin, mustard seeds, salt, and pepper. Season the Tuna steaks on both sides evenly.
Add sesame seeds on both sides of the steak and set aside.
Heat a pan over medium heat, and when the pan is hot, add olive oil. The pan must be hot before adding the oil.
Sear the tuna steaks on the hot oil for a minute on each side.
Remove from the pan and place on a cutting board.
Cut the steak into tataki slices according to your favorite thickness.
Drizzle sesame oil over the Tuna tataki and squeeze the lemon over.
